Recreation in York Mills

York Mills Park is located on the south-east corner of Bayview and York Mills. It is a popular spot for families and children during the warmer seasons. It features an outdoor swimming pool, playground, and baseball diamond. There is also access to a nature trail close by.

York Mills Arena is also on-site, with year-round ice sports to keep the kids busy.

Transportation in York Mills

York Mills is extremely accessible on all sides by public transit. Buses run on all of York Mills' main arteries including York Mills, Yonge, and Bayview. All of these routes connect to subway stations on the Yonge-University-Spadina line. There is also a GO Transit station that provides direct service to Pearson International Airport.

Drivers can take Yonge all the way downtown to Toronto's major business and entertainment districts. Highway 401 is easily reached from either Yonge or Bayview.

Shopping in York Mills

York Mills Plaza is easily found at the south-west corner of York Mills and Bayview. This pleasant outdoor mall is serviced by a large grocery store and drug store. It also features fine food stores, a restaurant, coffee shop, and specialty stores.

The Bayview Village Shopping Centre is located at the north-east corner of Bayview and Sheppard. It has upscale designer shops, various dining choices, and a new large grocery store.

In addition to these shopping centres, there are a couple of smaller malls with professional services to serve the community.
